There's zero change in Chinese policy. The border deal with India came before the US elections when the outcome was still considered a tossup. China has also been very consistent about trade with the EU, India and others. China has been pursuing negotiations with the EU over its tariffs on Chinese EVs since this summer, in other words nothing to do with the outcome of the US elections... Unlike the rest of the world which has been caught unprepared by Trump's election victory, China has been preparing for a showdown with the US for a full 7 years now...

Today total China export to the US is only 2.7% of China total GDP. Moreover, China has the most comprehensive and almost complete supply chains and industries. US is also the 3rd largest trading partner to China today behind Asean and EU. So which country will be able to withstand the turbulence and economic losses. Dun forget China is also US's largest high tech market but China has also been replacing its unreliable foreign partner due to national security. So who will win eventually as we are witnessing the ever rapid growth and development of highend/high-tech sectors. 😂 The country with the Overcapacity in printing money, hypocrisy and Double Standard which they like to call free market and rule based order. Mb India may wish to become a junior partner of the US empire.
@dustyrider2449 сағат бұрын
To be fair your comparison of China Export to the US to GDP is a silly comparison. China exports over 15% of its total exports to the US (500 Billion USD) opposed to US exports to the China (160 Billion) even you might be able to see a slight trade deficit The US and EU are obviously more than happy to establish a fair trade deal with China but surely they have to adopt some level of protection to their own industry base. I have no skin in this particular game but as a consumer I would rather see some common sense approach rather than silly comparisons that are designed as click bait under the guise of "Fact Checker"
@Facts..Checker6 сағат бұрын
@dustyrider244 Silly is bcoz your level of knowledge ain't up to date and low. US could just buy the needs elsewhere but stop buying from China altogether. But can they in the short term for almost everything. The West only contribute 20% of the world population, the global south (80%) is just as important nowadays. In fact, BRISC+ total GDP and world economic growth has a higher percentage than G7 members.

consumer's redistribution under trump's tariff against china. means American consumers will gain less good from china, and rest of world will have access to cheaper price on chinese goods. higher price for american consumers, more affordable goods for everybody else!
