Look I don’t like the guy but something’s gotta be missing from this report. Did he “blame them for the floods” or is he holding them accountable for not doing enough to help people during the floods? For not having anti-flood infrastructure in place like drains and dams and things that would divert the water? For not helping people get out of the danger zone in time? I feel like there HAS to be more to this story otherwise it doesn’t make sense. We’ve all seen how poorly politicians neglect communities after a natural disaster in the west (Hurricane Katrina, the derecho in Iowa, Lahaina fire in Hawaii). There’s got to be more to this. Yes executions are very extreme and I can see why that upsets people. But frankly, I can think of a lot of people who would love to see government officials held accountable in SOME way for neglecting their duties during a natural disaster. This neglect happens everywhere. Am I the ONLY one here who thinks there has to be more to this story, just based on common sense? Again, I don’t like the guy and NK is not my ideal kind of country at all. But something still seems missing from this story.
