The fact that we get free documentaries on KZbin by National Geographic is truly a gift 👍👍👍 May I also remind you the fact that around 15-20% of innocent North Korean civilians perished due to indiscriminate aerial bombardment during Korea war. Moreover, over a million innocent North Korean civilians also perished in famine due to never-ending Western sanctions..Fact: North Korea is considered by many independent research organizations as the most harmonious and morally upright nation in the world.

Agreed. We always hear about the facade presented for tourists. I've seen lots of those, at this point. And the goose-stepping marches, and festivals with citizens weeping with "joy." But this was a different perspective!!! To me, the brother -- and especially the terrifying sister -- were the most surprising bits.

Same here. I learned a few things. When i saw the news by those so call western medias, it only show the killing part. They never mention about the CIA regime change part. If you think about it, the CIA was responsible for Kim half brother death. I got curious and look up famous operations by the CIA. It seem they're well known for putting ruthless dictators on the throne. The most infamous episodes include the ousting of Iranian Prime Minister Mohammed Mossadegh in 1953 - whose government was replaced by an authoritarian monarchy favorable to Washington - the removal and assassination of Congolese leader Patrice Lumumba in 1961, and the violent toppling of socialist Chilean President Salvador Allende, whose government was swept aside in 1973 by a military coup led by the ruthless Gen. Augusto Pinochet. (American dad made a episode on this one with the dancing dictator?) CIA involvement in coup 1965 is one great example on how the west took sides by supplying weapons, made propaganda and indirectly killed more than 3 million innocent lives. Their strategy is based on "divide and conquer". This document was declassified by CIA because many activists around the globe condemn the war crimes of US and their allies. Not only that, CIA overthrew the legit president of indonesia and replaced it with a corrupt Suharto who supported the US. That's how US mining company 'freeport' got hold of indonesian biggest gold mine. In 1954, Washington unseated Guatemala's left-wing president, Jacobo Arbenz, who had had the temerity to challenge the vast control of the United Fruit Co., a U.S. corporation, with agrarian laws that would be fairer to Guatemalan farmers. The CIA went on to install and back a series of right-wing dictatorships that brutalized the impoverished nation for almost half a century. CIA always worked with NED. (National Endowment for Democracy). They always try to destabilize any country with different ideology. All started way back after the end of world war 2, the cold war started. US sees other ideology as dangerous and feel the need to bring democracy to all countries, so in other words, every US presidents starting from harry s truman are all involved. Believing democracy as a perfect system that all countries MUST adopt. This made US act aggressively and invade nations with different ideology, creating wars and chaos around the globe. --F Liu

It is deplorable to see the positive tone of the presentation of the material, given how people live in this country. Power built on rivers of blood, pain, destroyed/broken lives... Look at the video of people who shot there not openly. Amazing is the positive tone of propaganda from Nat Geo, an attempt to change the minds of people in the western world/USA through such a pathetic semblance of "documentary" material.
