Days after forming an unusual Government of National Unity in South Africa, cracks are now in the open among the main coalition partners- the African National Congress and the Democratic Alliance (DA). The rivals-turned-partners are at loggerheads over cabinet ranks, and as per reports, the deal with them is all but over. Talks on cabinet formation are stalled amid a lack of consensus. Over DA's demands for more ministerial posts, South African President and ANC Chief Cyril Ramaphosa accused the party of shifting the "goalposts" and trying to create a "parallel government" in breach of the constitution.

If DA is not actively involved in the next five years of running SA with the ministries of its choice to manage so that the inefficiency and corruption within these ministries stops, SA is on a continued downward spiral and it will become a failed country like Zimbabwe, and All citizens including majority black citizens will suffer more and more. ANC had 30 years to prove it can properly govern SA and all this party did was collapse the economy, ruined critical public services such as water and electricity supply through placing incompetent and corrupt managers and other staff to run these organisations, corruption by ANC within municipalities, the party and Eskom and the total lack of exercising on-going proper preventative maintenance since 1994.
