n this Fishing Challenge, I take you guys with me to the local FLEA MARKET to see what fishing gear steals we can find within our budget of $5!!! We then take our new gear out to test it in the waters and see if we can catch fish on our FLEA MARKET FINDS! I did not expect for this to happen..

A Mepps and Panther Martin inline for $1 a piece is a good score! You mentioned about casting upstream being preferred. That may be true when drifting dry flies and nymphs. But, its good practice to cast spinners and streamers from perpendicular to the current to 45 degrees downstream. You were fishing those spinners properly. Cast across current and reel in allowing them to swing down and across the current. You cover a lot of water this way and imitate baitfish. My only advice would be to slow your retrieve so that the spinner is ticking off the bottom every now and then. Nice video, Mike!

Panther martins can be fished upstream. It can help get your lure down if the water is deep.

They’re both spinners you can buy in store, but each of them run 4-5 dollars or more. They also happen to be the best two spinners on the market, panther martins being the best.

Sometimes, at flea markets, you can find descent lures. Just because of a particular brand doesn't nessisarily make the spinning lure or any lure better. Sometimes, if not all the time, you sadly pay for the name. The irony is that even the cheaper brand may last just as long, if not longer than the name brand.

I've found Panther Martin rooster tails for like $3.00 to $4.00. I don't know where you are buying your lures. To me $3 to $4 is enough for any lure.

Either let the lure spin after a cast or 2 to unwind or run a small barrel swivel a foot or so up so you don't get so much line twist using a spinner like that.

My go to is always spinners I have been slaying trout with them this year but it’s warming up so gunna have to bottom rigs shortly and tip also use a swivel to prevent line twist when using spinners

I fish the farmers market a lot and buy vinage reels like ocean city and pen reels (conventional) for like 5-15 dollars which is a STEAL in my book just some cleaning it will look brand new

Them Sonny's look good. I ate a couple of them the other day they're yummy. And yeah I'm in PA just below Allentown so not far from Delaware and we got coyotes you'll see on the side of 78 33 eating deer. They're all around our areas now. Coyotes are a lot like deer they can live in like the smallest little quarter mile patch of woods and you'll never know they were there.
