What a coincidence. I used to be an SNL lover until the last 10 years or so. Sudeikis was one the last few cast members I could tolerate. Now it's just drama kids stealing and regurgitating any sketches they can get their hands on.

SNL is trash, and changing your opinion on them just because they liked you means you have no spine. It's tasteless fast and loose, and at the same time has none of the charm of a tasteless fast and loose comedy show. Every joke feels forced and looking into the camera is like 90% of the bit most time. SNL might be fun for comedians to experiment in but as a fan of comedy give me the good stuff that's been worked on for more then an afternoon.

Exactly, it's always been usually a handful of really good sketches per season, yet people assume every episode has to be constantly funny. I grew up on the 90's era SNL and it was always this way. People remember the really good sketches and misremember them as compilations of a series of episodes. Probably from all those "best of" dvds. Anyways, Beck Bennett was amazing and my personal favorite of this last generation.

I gotta say that SNL has always been a hit or miss show and people just idealize the cast that they grew up with. The quality is still about the same as it always has been

@@steggyweggy i mainly watched the first five seasons for Belushi and Aykroyd but i really only enjoyed the skits like Samurai Futaba, Blues Brothers, that one skit with Belushi interviewing Gilda who was playing an Olympic star (forgot her name). Other than that the beginning seasons were really dark. Personally i enjoy SCTV more than SNL but its just my opinion
