Fischertechnik Crazy Reactions/Rides, Fairground, Smart Robots, TXT 4.0 - Toy Fair 2023 Interview

In this video interview of the 2023 Toy Fair (Spielwarenmesse), Jonathan Auer from Fischertechnik shows me a few of the current modular innovations. First of all, the four construction variants of the “Crazy Rides”, Funfair Ground kit. The set for children aged 8 and over consists of 356 parts. Then we see the Mechanics kit. It consists of 277 parts and is intended to convey the basic understanding of driven with twelve different models - to a complex planetary gear and a clockwork. The kit "Crazy Reactions" contains 444 parts for the construction of chain reactions. Finally, there is still a large marble ball track in which up to eight colored balls “compete” for a competition. The "Marble Competition" set consists of 702 parts.
After that, Jonathan Auer also shows me in detail the Smart Robots kit with 250 parts of about 9 minutes 30 seconds. The nine Robotics experiments described by instructions can be operated and programmed very easily and clearly using a smartphone app. Finally, from minute 14 of the video it is about the possible uses of the Fischertechnik unit TXT 4.0 Controller introduced in 2022.

Gefällt mir sehr gut. 9V in 2023 ist aber schon etwas merkwürdig.

9 Volt Batterien sind halt kompakt und als NiMH-Akku auch erschwinglich erhältlich. Ich hab mir vor kurzem zwei Stück mit je 200 mAh für je 5,95 Euro gekauft ... für zwei Messgeräte.

@@PeterPernsteiner das stimmt wohl, für Messgerät prima geringer. Ich würde dennoch ein eingebauten Lipo mit USB-C bevorzugen.

At present there are numerous battery technologies and power connectors and no doubt there will be further developments in both just around the corner. I can understand that a manufacturer would opt for a lowest common denominator configuration but perhaps in the future offer a range of choices when economies of scale or market penetration develops. An interesting observation nevertheless and it always pleases me that on this channel intelligent and civil debate is the norm.

As far as I know, the Bluetooth controller of the Smart Robots set also has a DC socket for connecting a power supply (9 V DC), for example - so everyone has the option of tinkering with any other power supply. The battery box for a 9-volt block battery is simply a basis for a power source that is very widespread on the market. Soviel ich weiß, hat der Bluetooth-Controller des Smart Robots-Sets auch eine DC Buchse zum Anschluss von beispielsweise einem Netzteil (9 V DC) - damit hat jeder auch die Möglichkeit, eine beliebige andere Stromversorgung zu basteln. Das Batteriekästchen für eine 9-Volt-Blockbatterie ist halt einfach nur eine Basis für eine sehr weit am Markt verbreitete Stromquelle.
