At the Spielwarenmesse (Toy Fair) 2024 I once again looked at some interesting new construction kits at the Fischertechnik booth. Jochen Kaupp, the company's product developer, first explained to me the E-Tec construction kit, which consists of 113 parts. With this, children aged 8 and over can set up and explore eleven different experiments with simple electrical circuits under guidance.
Then you can see two new universal construction sets of different sizes and three expansion sets for the “Marble Competition” marble run system.
In the last three minutes, a gigantic marble run combination can be seen and experienced. It consists of several Marble Competition Sets and four TXT 4.0 Controller automation units. The automatic starting unit for the marble run is a 5-axis robot. Then there is a larger marble run and then the marbles are transported further with an Omni-Wheel vehicle. The balls are then transferred to a second vehicle, which drives up a narrow ramp. Finally, the balls reach a marble track with an electronically controlled checkered flag.
