Nice fish man do you have a ccw or can you legally conceal carry while out on the aquaduct?
@TheCastLife2 жыл бұрын
Thanks brother! I’m not a lawyer so don’t take my advice, I would recommend getting a CCW permit but while fishing you can legally conceal carry depending on the location. Some fishing spots on the aqueduct will have no firearm signs posted and most lakes will not allow you to carry.

I'm a retired officer and I've always said it myself, long before I ever went through the academy. When you hear all the complaints and crying over an officer being more aggressive than he/she could have been, it's almost "always" because of a lack of compliance. If an officer asks you to sit on a curb, yea it sucks but just do it. Don't run, don't try to out lawyer the officer in a debate about the law, just be respectful and almost always (not saying there aren't some officers with a bad chip on their shoulder or outright shouldn't be an officer) but almost always you'll find you'll get teh same respect back and rarely is it really about race like so many automatically go to however that typically happens when parents raise their kids telling them to fear the police instead of just respecting them. My whole life, even now as a retired officer I never throw the "I was a cop myself" card at an officer when I pull over, I'm just very respectful and "comply". It almost always results in a warning and I'm on my way. I'm so glad to see so many here understand that mentality of thinking because it's rare.

My cousin was learning to cast a fly rod in a football field. He gives me a cast and from that day I have never looked back. Fly fishing for me personally felt more fair or sportsman like and also I could learn to fly tie which opened up a whole new world. For me, it was like I was 5 years old again and learning to fish all over again. I am fly fishing for 25 year's now I am tying some really beautiful flies too and am still in love with this sport. Thanks for the quality videos bro. Happy Fishing!!!!
@TheCastLife Жыл бұрын
Yeah striped bass in my opinion taste way better then most freshwater fish including trout and salmon. But then again if you eat it by itself it’s a very bland white fish so it’s depends on the seasonings used. The way my parents cook with the right herbs and spices it’s hard to beat at least for me. I don’t eat largemouth bass because it has weird smell to it and the meat is not as flaky as stripers so they are catch and release for me.

Are stripers considered trash fish in cali? Why is the bag limit so high? On east coast they are like Gods. 1 a day limit (28"-31") only
@TheCastLife Жыл бұрын
Not at all, I believe the limit is set accordingly based on the fact that they are invasive and have a high population. At one point they proposed a no size limit 10 fish bag limit on stripers because the Fish and game said the stripers were affecting the low numbers of native salmon and steelhead. But some lakes with stripers already implement this rule to control the striper population.

Aahh. That feeling when you feel the bite. He got that a lot but by the sound of his voice and reaction almost never prepared when it happen

Yeah it’s always unexpected because they bite when I least expect them to 😂

I'm glad you found a cool game warden. Here in North County San Diego we have a problem with some 20-something-year- olds who are definitely on a power trip. When you approach individuals to ask for a fishing license you do not need to be playing with your side arm. This is common especially in Oceanside harbor..

Yeah he was cool, most interactions I’ve had with them is treat them how you want to be treated. Respect on both sides goes a long way. Thanks for watching 🫡

Hey I'm from Dartmouth MA,did well with black sea bass this past year fishing between the Elizabeth Islands. Also had a safety check by MA Environmental Police while fishing and the 2 officers were friendly and professional
@TheCastLife2 жыл бұрын
That’s always good to hear 👍 do you also do striped bass fishing? I know it’s big in MA.
@davids47542 жыл бұрын
@The Cast Life so timing wise I think we missed the run but tried anyway,we were successful with Scup and BlackSea Bass keepers along with a bunch that we threw back because they were short.They give a nice little fight.So if you find Padanaram on the map we take my friends Boston Whaler Outrage almost to Martha's Vineyard. Weather and waves and work sometimes makes it difficult to get out for stripers.Love the channel. Happy Holidays

So cool you can catch Stripers in spill ways like that. You can catch bass, carp and catfish in Arizona spillways. Never seen a Striper caught in one

Yeah we have the same fish as you guys in the CA Aqueduct but I heard there’s even sturgeons.

Happy 2023 lu Mien. I was just sent to your channel. I'm checking in from Connecticut. Our season won't kick off for a few months, but we get some winter holdovers. CT slot size is min 28-35". We get some real cows, 40-60 pounders in summer, and a world record caught here at 81 pounds. Stay safe and Catchem UP!

Do you use the CcW fishing hunting loophole or do you have a legit CCW? Do you have your shield concealed on your person or is it in your bag? And if you do conceal holster carry do you put your gun away as soon as you get in your car? I have carried my Glock and other guns while fishing and I sometimes leave it in my gun shoulder pack near my gear but if I’m deep in the wilderness i usually holster or conceal carry my M&P 2.0 10mm
