Great product. Would you consider making a collapsible version for easier storage and transport?

Thank you. Yes sir, I’ve honestly thought about it quite a bit. However, to do so, you would really limit the strength of the holding cage when lifting it out of the water. I’m not exactly sure how I would want to design one where it kept the same strength as it has now. It is a great idea, though.

very good idea... but... it should be able to fold up for storage and transportation. it takes up way to much room in a vehicle and is too cumbersome to easily transport on foot. and with the clasps needed for it to be able to fold up, it would not need the tools and if you included a shoulder strap you could just throw it over your shoulder grab the rest of your gear and get on your merry way. this and a small but decent range of sizes for kayakers and those like me who needs to hike a little to get to the favorite fishing spot is in my opinion a far better deal than what is being offered. this of course is all a suggestion, you can take it or leave it but i hope that you at least look into it. thank you for taking time to read my comment.

Question, if anyone is still reading the comments on here, can this be used from the bank or is it only for if you're fishing from a deck?
@ReelTexasOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
Hi Hunter, it’s mainly designed for use off a dock, but you can use them wherever you’d like. From the bank, you’d have to drag it in unless you wanted to wade out a little to drop your fish in each time.

@@ReelTexasOutdoors Okay thanks! I'm just getting back into fishing and I don't have a boat so bank fishing is my primary method and it isn't a guarantee I'm going to be on a deck a lot of the time. I was thinking of maybe securing one end to the shore and letting the cage part just float out into the water. My thinking is the waves would carry it out for me without much effort on my part. What do you think of this idea? On a side note I'm pleasantly surprised you actually read this comment. As old as this video is I thought this might be a dead channel.

@@hunterthewerewolf - I think that could work… The only issue will be if you’re fishing from a bank that has a very gradual slope to get to depth. If that is the case then you’re going to have to wait out at least 2 feet to get the thing to start floating. The pen is 2 feet tall, so you will have to get to the depth of the floats in order for it to be carried out by waves. That wouldn’t be that big of a deal to have to wait out to about knee-deep to drop fish in though. As far as the channel goes, I still read all of the comments. This channel is mainly used for making videos to outline the traps and pins that we built. I occasionally will upload a fishing video as well. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Have a good one.

Alligator... alligators are my main concern. Think it would protect my catch from them?
@ReelTexasOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
Hi there... thanks for the comment. I'm honestly not certain that anything could stop an alligator, haha. However, this would sure make it hard for them. The wire is 16 gauge and pretty dang thing. They would definitely have to work to get through it and it would probably leave some really sore spots in their mouth for sure. To date though, Ive never had anyone tell me they've had a gator tear theirs up, and Ive sold a ton of these all over the US. Hope this info helps, and please let me know if you have any other questions.
