Pretty sure there were some fresh water fish in that ocean. Especially the catfish. I mean, there are saltwater catfish, but, as far as I know, they're all tiny. Also, I think one of the fish was an arapaima, though I could be wrong, since the models are so poor. I mean, it's an airbreather, but it's still a freshwater fish. I don't think it can process salt in the proper quantities. Also, I'm just going to point out, this is a diving game where you just walk on the bottom of the ocean with a speargun.

I think the reason it takes a second to kill the fish is to fake 'travel time' of the spear without actually having a projectile or anything, and given it a set length hurtbox, since it assumes you'll keep looking at the target.
