Congrats!!! Quite stoked as you were. What main line did you use for the beast mate?

Cheers man, the snapper was caught using 15lb edge braid and the kingfish was using 50lb edge holocore braid.

that small scorpion was really keen for that jig haha great work on landing that beast of a snapper! slow jig always helps haha and that kingfish too
@NomadicKayakFishing Жыл бұрын
thanks bro, i think I've cracked the code for avoiding the hoards of smaller snapper that always hit the slow jigs...

Yew 🤙 yeah we had not too much luck at the 9 pins, just a rat king. Came back and stopped at a pin around 30m mark and scored four 60cm + snapper. What jigging reel combo are you running?
@NomadicKayakFishing11 ай бұрын
Nice one on the snaps. Jigging combo is a torium 16hg with backbone pe 3-6 jig rod, had it for 6 years and it's still going strong as, highly recommend it aye.

LMAO your the second person who thought it was burley in a bottle. at this point i might start squirting it in my softies for good luck lol. all jokes aside i don't like eating on the kayak so i just run an IV drip of caffeine instead

nice mate! as a kiwi i must say im very jealous of the species variety in other parts of the world. here in NZ we only have a handful of species available (snapper, kingfish and kahawai being the most common). tight lines bro!

There round worms.. but thanks for the video I really enjoyed it. You sure get the big ones man do you ever do any fresh water fishing???

Thanks man, I always like to let the big ones go as they are the best breeders, besides the smaller ones taste better in breadcrumbs anyway😂
