Keep it up Andrew your a legend man! You've inspired me over the last 4 years to go live off the grid and become a fishing guide. I just purchased a property on Quesnel lake in northern BC. Big old lake trout and huge rainbows in there. Best of luck to you in life, love your vids and knowledge you share! Much appreciated, Doug

Fish head soup is delicious, traditional also at Mediteranian sea, head is the most sweet part of fish, specialy bigger head predators with lots of meat aroud jaws. 🐟👌 Gratings to you and your peoples, from Croatia, Dalmatia!

Soup is superfood! I do similar with grouse and ptarmigan. I boil the stink out of it, add whatever veggies I got kicking around, spices, and my secret ingredient; apple cider vinegar. I tell ya, after boiling it with potatoes for a while, and some beef stock, it turns into a very hearty stew. Just watch out for #6 pellets, unless I used the .22 and went for headshots. Happy, safe and successful hunting to you and your crew down there.

I did Tiger Muskee. What was left after cooking down were paper thin wafer like bones and the lower jaw which has the spike teeth. Upper jaw are just small holder teeth. Initially I expected to find a cranium like skull for trophy but got just the lower jaw. Also when cooking down fish skulls look for the ear bone called Otolith (Sp?), these are trophy status items often made into jewlry like Elk teeth are.

Nice. I keep meaning to do this, but I haven't got any fish lately. I'll have to make a point of it though. You may want to try putting the veggies in for only the last half an hour to hour. They'll still add to the taste, but give a little texture. Unless you don't want to have to chew at all.

Fkn Eh! Actually Andrew i don't like fish soup! I Love it! Never tried with fresh water fish just our local Blue Cod with only chopped white onions added. Gonna try your Wild North recipe Andrew she's a real beaut. I worked with Maoris and Pacific Island people, many say it's an insult to give someone a fish without the head intact. That's because the head meat is considered the sweetest. And Ebon you're a man after my own heart for eating that eyeball, good tucker Fkn Eh! Thanks Andrew.
