I absolutely love this fish. I got one awhile back and i had it for about a couple months and it was doing well. It was eating and picking at the rocks. It would eat out of my hand and then just died suddenly. Absolutely showed no signs of being sick or anything. I was devastated cause it was my favorite one. When i first got it my sailfin tang was a bit of a bully to it but that only lasted a few days. I still have no idea what happened to it.

I am not the tang police but if you get a small one with plans of finding a bigger home later you might be fine. It is a 6 foot 125?
@sherrysreef23816 жыл бұрын
@@BlueCarbonReefing yes its 6 ft. Let me know. I hv a octopus skimmer and not overstocked at all. If not I understand. Just love blonde naso is all, but I get it. Thanks!
@BlueCarbonReefing6 жыл бұрын
I think it would be just fine in a 125 if you get a smaller one. Just know it will eventually outgrow that tank. 180 gallons is only a recommendation. It all depends on what you are willing to do to keep the fish happy and healthy. I am sure plenty of people out there have kept them in 125 or smaller and have been fine for at least a couple of years.

Beautiful tank. I am curious of how many days u quarantined your blonde Naso before u put him or her in your main tank. Thks

Around 90 days.

Blue Carbon Reefing Just need a little more info Did u treat the blonde Naso with half of the recommended amount of Seachem cupramine or using other treatment? And how many of treatment out of the 90 day quarantine? Thks
@BlueCarbonReefing5 жыл бұрын
@@ttnguyen98 The blonde Naso went through the same QT process as all of my other tangs would. I put the fish in QT and watch it and feed it for a few weeks. I treat with coppersafe and take about 4 to 5 days to ramp it up to a therapeutic level. 1/4 or 1/5 per day. Once it is at the therapeutic level I keep the copper in there for 30 days. After 30 days I do a 50% water change and start using something remove the remaining copper out of the water. Once I feel most of the copper is removed from the water I 2 two treatments of Prazipro with a 25% water changer after the first week then dose the second treatment. Then I monitor the fish and make sure it is healthy, eating agreesively and showing now signs of any parasites. You could definitely shorten this process but I was in no rush to get them into my main system.

sir can you tell me more about how to differentiate the male and female?
@BlueCarbonReefing3 жыл бұрын
Based on my research the only way to really tell as they get older and larger. They will either have elongated fins (steamers) on their rear tale or they will not. I haven't seen anything else that is definitive in sexing them at a younger age.

Do the fish size will affect the minimum fish tank size ?

Yes as the fish grows it will need more and more room. Most minimum tank size recommendations are based on the size the fish will become not the size it is now.
