Interesting insights here. Direct Call/SMS is and has always been the ultimate competition. Thats why Jiji works. Social e-commerce is growing and accessible but still the ultimate competition is Direct Call/SMS. Its very weird to observe but the only way to thrive is something that supports and rides on Direct Call but not replace it. Very tough but insightful discussion. Kudos guys 👏

Not to discourage you guys but all the best vendy theres too much to learn about this market its capital intensive, well theres to much buttons to press you need to convince vendors which it self is a big moutain to climb ,then the users.From my experiences no matter how good the product is theres a learning curve to this particular niche.

Good show. Consider finding another name other than the fish tank. You don't want everyone calling you the Shark Tank clone. Start Up Soko will do just fine or whatever else you got. Also let viewers know the goal of the video. Are you guys VCs and he's seeking funds from you? Or are you just giving him constructive ctiticism?
@startupsoko8 ай бұрын
Thanks! Good questions :) When the production team was thinking about how to do this we needed to be really honest with ourselves: 1. We are not sharks, we are fish - maybe piranha's. We are okay to be called knock-off's of Shark Tank because tukiomoka that is what we want to be. 2. There are many innovators/ideas in campus or coming out of campus who are just looking for advice to help steer their idea in the right direction .They are not looking for funding yet. Very very few VC's, accelerators etc will give these "inexperienced" founders the time of day. 3. We are not a VC - Tumesota . Money not the only way to add value . We do the work of understanding your idea and curating a panel who can give you feedback. 4. We understand the power of quality production to attract viewers to view our content which leads anyone who is pitching to get even more diverse feedback from viewers and it is a marketing opportunity the founders pitching. Sometimes a viewer may invest in the idea or even mentor the founder. 5. We aim to educate and entertain I hope this helps!
