Learned about trim tabs to control idel speed. Thank you. Like the if you bring it take it back and don't leave a mess.
@jerryrouth61153 жыл бұрын
I would not have a lake boat for trolling unless it had the trim tabs. And, my pet peeve is people who trash up the outdoors we all love so much. Thanks for taking time to respond.

fish not committing, back hook , I speed up then ,what are your thoughts ?
@jerryrouth61152 жыл бұрын
Great question Timothy!!! I don't know. I thought more about the stiffness of the rod for varying hook position on retrieval? I know using a stiff rod tip will tear out a lot of hooks and cause some foul hooking problems but I will have to talk to my buddies about this one. The old man don't know everything you know LOL. I love this comment, thanks.

Nice vid Jerry, I have made the plunge got a used Bennington 22 foot fish and cruise pontoon parked at a slip at Paintsville Lake Ky. I can crutch right up on it and away we go. YEHAA from East Ky ps Kind of worried about the water quality where you were that last walleye had its own bottle of water. LOL

Hey, good news on the new boat. I wish you good luck and remember, fish4fun. As for the bottle, I guess we must have accidentally dropped our water bottle in the net. I wondered who would be the first one to notice it. You won the prize. Thanks buddy for the continued support.

The old p38. Not many people younger would have a clue what it was or how to use one. I learned in the early 80's while I was in the ARMY. Another great video Jerry.

First off, I want to thank you for your service to our country. And, yes I had questions wanting to know where viewers could get "one of those." LOL. Just another joy of being a youtuber !!!!! Thanks again for supporting my channel.

Like your boat and those rod holders on the back of your boat.what brand are they?
@jerryrouth61156 жыл бұрын
Daniel, I use Drift Master rod holders. I prefer the two position holders although they are more expensive. Thanks for watching and taking time to comment.

Another great day on a lake, lots of fish, good food, great scenery. Gotta love a P38.

It was our best day for Walleye this year. Stockton is one of the most beautiful lakes in Missouri and I love taking pictures of the scenery. As for the P38, I used it again today on a float trip. Thanks as usual Timothy.

Like your rod holders on the back of the boat! Home made?
@jerryrouth61156 жыл бұрын
We were using Jerrads boat and they were commercially made. My next video will be another trip pulling crankbaits and I will be in my boat. I like my rod holders a lot and they are Home made. Thanks Daniel and how do you fish in that Tractor LOL. Thanks buddy.

Always enjoyable to watch your outings. You sure tore up the walleye. What make/manufacturer lures? ☕️
@jerryrouth61157 жыл бұрын
The two lures we caught them was a #6 Flicker Shad and a Jointed Rapala Shadrap. These are always our go-to or start-out with lures. Thanks again for watching.

You know...this post is very short and direct!! That can opener trick you guys showed me...lets me know that I still have a lot in life to learn!! Now my ????? How long have you and your brother been fishing together...and who taught who?😊😊👍👍👍👍

I caught my first fish at age 5 by sneaking out of bed and going to the pond. It was a sizable bass and I have a picture of that fish. I'm not sure when we were allowed to fish alone as bothers but judging by the pictures I think I was about 10 which means approximately 69 years. I know for sure we were walking the 2 I/2 miles to the creek and fishing all day by ourselves when I was 12. There wasn't much else to do in the middle of Mark Twain National Forest where we were raised. When I was 6 I had my own fly rod and my dad would let me put my feet in the back pockets of his pants. He would reach back and hold me there while he waded the creek and fished with the fly rod over his back.

My brother and I absolutely love your channel and all your videos. I was hoping to get some advice. What speed do you troll at and are you using the big motor or trolling motor? Thanks for your time and all the amazing videos!
@jerryrouth61157 жыл бұрын
Tim thanks for asking. When trolling with Crank Baits for most fish we like to troll between 2.0 and 2.5 MPH. That's even true for Crappie which some people challenge. We are looking for reaction strikes. When trolling jigs we would use the electric motor and try to maintain .5 to 1.5 depending on depth, time of the year and species of fish. Given other conditions such as weather and wind we often vary from these. Hope that helps. It seems to work for us. Thanks again for supporting FISH4FUN.

We don't claim to do anything better than anyone else but we have some things that work to our satisfaction. I will try to find some time to show our techniques for what it is worth. Our problem this year has been time to do that. We seem to always have a shorter time to fish than we would like. Thanks Dan as usual.

He is both!!! When he calls me, my wife will say "who called." I will say, my oldest brother. Next time I will respond, my youngest brother. He is my only brother. But he really is 1 1/2 years younger than me. What a crazy way to answer a simple question. I just can't help it CAM, I just can't resist trying to be cute!!!!!!!!!!
