Can't beat the beauty of that rock shoreline. That first striper on the top water was sweet. A good lesson for others was the variety of baits you had in your box. Covering everything from the surface to the bottom is absolutely essential in the shoreline fishing. I really enjoy that spinning rig that you have used now in several videos. use 3/8oz for your sluggos @x the hits..heavier than that less jerking action. My fav lure in NJ..catches everything. Also less jerky and more of a sinewave retrieve works best for me. Arkansas shiner color is best match to sand eel

I used to watch your vids when I lived up north, then I moved to Port St. Lucie, I love your vids so when I saw you were in PSL I was eagerly surprised. This July I went to York ME for a wedding and brought my travel rod. Didn’t see or catch anything. One wimpy school of bait all weekend. Hey man, I know that place really well. I've probably been there at least 50 times before. I cannot ever remember the water being that calm there, you were blessed by the fishing Gods my friend. I used to scuba dive there many years ago and the waves would bash the crap out of you if you picked the wrong time during the tide changes. I've stayed in the hotel you are staying in as well. I only live about an hour and fifteen minutes from there, but my wife and I will go for a quick overnight from time to time and stay there adjacent to long sands. Where you were fishing will be where some of my ashes will be distributed after I'm gone, I love that spot so much. I've been going there for over 50 years. Just up the street is another beach named short sands, and there is a place there that makes some of the best saltwater taffy in the country ( as far as I'm concerned anyway ). Next time you are up, go get some taffy ( Goldenrod Kisses ) from " The Goldenrod ". Unfortunately, they close shortly after Labor Day until around Memorial day the next year. It was great to see you fishing in some of my old tromping grounds. Look me up when you are in the area if you want someone to fish with. Best to you and yours. -- den
