This partial Fishbone show was recorded in Santa Cruz on April 1, 1996, during the Chimm Chimm's Badass Revenge tour.
The recording is rough as it's been transferred via VHS tapes but the show was a good one from this era.

Yeah saw Fishbone at a concert in Mountain View. Angelo sat behind us after the set. My friend had a Fishbone tattoo. Went to Harbor High in Santa Cruz. The Catalyst.

I met Angelo in a bar one afternoon. I showed him a bunch of t-shirt designs i was going to put out, and he said "You seem like a very angry man." Dohhh'

Sorry for all the comments but I had to say something about So Many Millions. I love the O.G. slow tempo, but then at 25:19 or so, when the song changes, they increase the tempo to where it is on the original version. Nice touch. I can't say whether they did that or not when I saw 'em on this tour. I wanna say they didn't b/c I think I would've remembered that. That show was the 1st time I saw them and it was the only time I saw them with Fish and J.B. I've seen 'em 4 times since & although they still tear it up, I still wish Fish, Dowd, Kendall, and J.B. were with 'em.

It is really cool that you posted this...I've been listening to these guys since back in the day with vinyl and cassettes...Never got to see them live, but it's on my bucket list...Each of their live shows is unique and should be preserved...

Dude! Thanks for posting this! It could sound worse in my opinion. I saw them May 3rd, 1996, exactly a month after this show. It was at Five Points South Music Hall in Birmingham, AL. The Chim Chim's Badass Revenge album had yet to be released so I didn't know songs like Riot, Rockstar, Love/Hate, the title track, and Monkey Dick. They didn't play In The Cube in Birmingham. That's now one of my favorite Fishbone songs. By the way, I hate to be one of those guys but Quest of Life isn't the right title. It's Question of Life. Great song. Thanks again for posting.

Of course!!! "Quest" was definitely a typo, I know better. Thanks for pointing it out. Seeing Fishbone live during the CCBAR era was definitely a highlight. So much raw energy. Glad I discovered it in my pile of long lost VHS tapes.
