Pick, Pack, And Ship - Whiteboard Wednesday

Learn more at: www.fishbowlinv.... Pick, Pack, and Ship are three connected processes that any business with inventory in a warehouse must do on a regular basis.
Picking involves going out and finding the products on a shelf and bringing them in to prepare to send to a customer. It's helpful to combine multiple orders in one and have a clear picture of where to find items so you don't waste time going out and coming back multiple times or hunting for products in a huge warehouse.
Packing involves putting the products in a box or other container to be shipped in. Again, knowledge is power here. Knowing which size of container to use and how many products can be safely stored in a single container will help speed up the packing process and reduce the amount of inventory damaged in transit.
Shipping involves getting products to customers. Selecting the best carriers, tracking packages, and emailing customers when their package is on its way are all great ways to improve customer service and make sure deliveries go smoothly.

do you know a way to automate the packing and filling the container before shipping without man involving ?

Go to the picking module, select tools at the top, module options, select the auto commit tab, check mark "automatically commit issued sales orders" and "automatically finish picks that are automatically committed" Now every time you issue a sales order it should be ready for shipping without having to go through the pick and pack process.

+Pocket Coaching We use a basic Three point lighting set up. We have Three soft boxes. We have the Key, Fill, and Hair light. You want to try angling the key and fill so you don't get glares. You want to check your levels where you make sure you expose your subject with out clipping the whiteboard. It also helps to know some basic three way color correction to make sure the white is white and your subject skin tone looks normal. Hope that's helpful.
