Great video!... My neck hurts and I feel like I’ve drank wayyy too much coffee hahaha... Dude I bought an extreme v stainless 8.6ft the first year they came out like 12-13yrs ago.. they were a lot more money and nobody wanted to take the plunge.. well I did and it was the best piece of equipment I’ve ever invested in, period.. Nobody else had one until like the following year.. I was the only guy around who had the stainless V and I was approached probably well over 100x that first year by people who were thinking about getting it... the time it save by being so efficient and the dependability is an investment.. I still have mine and all I’ve ever done is change the fluid every year.. not one problem ever.. not even a hose ... nothing... I’ve stacked snow so high that people thought a backhoe did it haha...once you own a plow like the extreme v stainless, you will never ever want anything else.. everything else just doesn’t seem as nice.. I would advise anyone to make the investment if possible and buy right the first time and you will make and save money if you do it right, and will have many years trouble free buy spending the money up front and buying right the first time.. yup they are expensive but you can find decent prices if you look hard enough.. They are worth their weight in gold imho... I plowed train stations, parking lots, and did driveways every year and go through about 2 cutting edges a year on average... that’s a lot of plowing every year👍

You should have adjustments on the A frame to prevent that. (adjust the plow angle). You should back up to the garage and push all that across the driveway as it looks like a feild and legal. That way if we have a lot of storms you're not going to plow yourself in, and when it melts it will melt away from the house.

Great work dude. Awesome video. Thanks for letting us hear whats really going. Don't you just love this? THERE IS NO MONEY LIKE SNOW MONEY! I have the 9'6" XV2 on my 2015 F550. I just got back from plowing Jonas, out in MD/DC/VA. I cannot say enough good things about how this set up (plow and rig) kicked some serious snow ass. I saw depths from 1'-4'! Even in the wet 4' of snow, with the plow in V position, it allowed me to slice through as if it was 6" of snow. Please tell me what cam your using or what one you would suggest.

I push snow on my property as far as I safely can each storm cuz you never know how much the winter will bring , overall . I try to " ramp " it also if I can at at least One or two spots by gradually lifting the blade at the end of a run . I Try not to let much build up between my bumper and the back of my blade , as it can get hung up /jacked up .... I guess I tried to back-blade too much , ya think ?

Besides a good wash, clean terminals, lube, and fluid change, what more is there to do?
@jamesnm21 Жыл бұрын
Once you make the turn on the driveway I would have started on the right side and pushed all the way up to the left corner of the garage and driven off the edge and pushed a good 10ft back. Then work left and windrow what you can't carry. That way you're making full length passes instead of short chopping ones to the side. I used to start like you did at the bottom and work up the driveway but it takes more time and more wear and tear on the truck. I don't clear across the ends of driveways anymore because you can do that pushing straight in and saves backing up re-aligning the truck with the driveway.
@nathanscott79103 жыл бұрын
I apologize for my ignorance. I live in North Carolina and it rarely snows here. I've never seen one of these. Is that plow hooked up to a pickup truck? If so how does it work?

You realize western and fisher are the same thing right? Biggest difference is the ultramount system vs the minute mount 2 system, the color, and trip edge vs full trip. Owned and manufactured by the same company. Douglas dynamics. I would never touch a boss though. Overpriced for what it is.

Yes, you should always push it as far back as you can to leave yourself room. This particular place was surrounded by a rock wall and I wasn’t told where it was, you can see me run into it on the first pass at the back. Imo boss i plow in Michigan and where i am they have the best dealer support vs fisher/western i have heard grate things about them and how thats all some of my friends will use (some personal home owners and a couple contractors) but where i am boss works best bc of support. The boss cant stack as high bc of the hydro lift cylinder vs chain but you dont get chai slap either, i cant say how the stacking difference is bc i havent used a fisher or western v plow but go with the best dealer support. Dont go with boss bc some told you to or western/fisher go with the one that you can get serviced the easiest. Hope this helps
