We fished together in gulf shores last month. You tied a mono leader for my shark pole. I ended up catching a five footer I was the only one that got my fish to the pier to get a video and a pic. Hopefully I’ll see you somewhere else we can fish

Nah I don't need it, there's plenty of people out there with one, don't feel like bringing it, and everytime I think I don't need it, I need it, and there's nobody with one, so now if am going to the Pier, I don't leave home with out it, now people are running up to me, hey man, can I borrow your net, so I just go in for the assist,, it's all about team work out there,,,,,,Stay Safe God Bless,,,

That goofy jig will catch dating near everything that swims in that water literally. I have caught sharks stingrays Blue Fish Spanish mackerel flounder black drum red drum trout Whiting Sheepshead and I'm sure there's more that I don't remember right at this particular time. When the fish are biting any fish that wacky jig goofy jig right it will almost always catch just about anything. And it's usually the trailer teaser the catch is more than the banana jig.

Rule #1 for gaffing cobia from the pier, only use one gaff unless the fish is 50+ pounds. Rule #2, wait until the cobia gets tired and is on it's side before attempting to gaff. Otherwise the line can get wrapped up in the gaff rope like it did in this video. The #1 reason fish are lost is a poor gaff job, pier or boat.

Man that’s what I figured I always see one gaff all the time. That was the first time I seen two gaffs Almost cost him the fish. I’m just glad he ended up taking the fish home.

@@saltwatermercs The main problem there was a gaff in the water before the fish was ready, Cobia usually go crazy when they get next to the pier or boat, or in a boat.
