In this video, I recycle some old pine siding in order to make three corner floating shelves that take advantage of some space which would otherwise go unused.

I love the video Drew! The 3D sketchup tour at the beginning really draws you in, and I think the corner shelves are perfect there. I really like how the project turned out… I need to go find some corners in my house now. The song of your people, the definition of the edge trimmer, and your 7th grade home economic skills were great as well.

great design, you are one of the rare ones who has used pine for a project, here in mexico other woods are rather expensive and you can only see them in fancy pants houses or shops. nice to see a skill woodworker like you is not above pine, it give us confidence, i sure would like if you could make a video giving tips for using pine, especialy for not wabling legs. any way, big fan. happy holidays and may allah bless your home and your family always.

Very nice and useful project. If you have a stud finder and could find some in that limited space it might have made the cleat attachments more secure. Doesn’t appear as though you’ll be storing any motor blocks on those shelves anyway but if they ever tear out that’s your fix. I’ve had bad luck with those little plastic inserts.
@FishersShop

You're right, there won't be any heavy loads on them but they're actually quite sturdy. Loaded them up with books and a heavy potted plant and they're just fine. I guess time will tell. :)

I have seen some plasterboard fixings locally (Yorkshire, UK) that require a large-ish hole (around 15mm) that claim to be able to support 150kg. How this is measured, I'm unclear on, but experience shows that plasterboard is stronger than you might give it credit for (as long as it's dry).

The format is good, and it sounds like you may be scripting the overdub (which adds to the quality). Editing is great. I'd say the only (very minor) issue is the camera mic for your outtro. I opted for a wireless mic which lets me do my thing and get some great audio. There are also some vids out there on how to use your phone and a lav mic to capture great audio then dump that into your editor and sync up. I'll email you a link for the camera mic when i get a chance. Again, nice job!

Is it drywall anchors you use? Looks like it's for concrete? I usually use mollys that expand on the backside like a cross in metall for drywall.. Really smart way to attach it to the wall by the way 👍🏻
