Dear Fish, Or may I say, dear Derek ... What a brilliant song. I know how you feel, my mother had Alzheimer and died in 2017. She loved your song "A Gentleman's excuse me". Not only did you mean a lot to me, I mean, I have been a fan since 1984 since the 'Fugazi' tour @ Pinkpop in Holland. I really hope that this coming album, will not be your last one. Big bear, you've still have so much to give us. Please, do not stop! You are brilliant and I love this song. I can't wait to buy the album. Love you and your songs / lyrics forever. Big man, stay strong. We love YOU, Fish!!!

I cried at the video...I cried at this...the song for me is as much about losing one's memory as much as the end of Fish's recording career which is just as emotional...the gallery is The Garden of Remembrance is of his career which has been so much of my life...lyrics and voice as powerful as they were over 30years ago.

amazing shoot, you just cant tell the gallery isn't real.. everything just came together and the song and imaginary just had a tear rolling. I know its about dementia but to me it spoke on a different level. As a marillion fan from my youth (20s) in the early 80s, im going to be 60 next year, and with the past imagery of the old album covers, it kicked up memories of being young, and how you lose stuff you take for granted, like your energy and enthusiasm for life, as you get into the beginning of your autumn years, wonder what the future holds, and all that stuff. Never thought i could be moved like that in my cynical old age :-)

The video has such a slow, simple look that doesn't distract from the songs important message ... fits perfectly. This is also an excellent 'Making Of' film ... it's also amazing to see the technical process that they went through and hear about the design, challenges and reasons for the choices. The art gallery looks absolutely incredible.

The starkness of Fish's song and the lyrical brilliance bring such emotional depth to the subject. When this is coupled to this sensitive and such carefully crafted video it takes the experience to a whole other dimension. David and Hannah you deserve to be recognised by your peers in the industry for the ingenuity that was involved, the inspired imagery that was used to create this totally engaging media experience that simply magnifies the intensity of all the emotions the song invokes. Absolute brilliance.

A masterpiece. Fish was part of my youth going into adulthood. An essential part. Marillion‘s Clutching at straws is my most favorite album of all time. When I watch Garden of Remembrance I really need a box of tissues next to me. Timeless.

No one will ever come close to the song writing talent of fish in and out of the amazing band Marillion, the songs transported me away to a beautiful mind of an amazing story teller .....Misplaced childhood.......a masterpiece...I listened to the great live album The thieving magpie during lock down , the music will certainly live on and the old albums will be found and be loved by future generations , the songs are timeless, thank you so much fish and Marillion for the music and being a huge part of my musical journey , a huge part of my life , music touch’s and heals and connects people in such a profond way and may be more than the song writers intent , thank you fish, god bless everyone,

The beautiful lady at the home inspired me to write a poem. We used to dance to this He would take my hand A mischievous grin On his face While his eyes sparkled From the lights, They reminded me of stars Burning a million miles away from home. We used to dance to this, And he would sing along While he led me across the floor Never averting his gaze. Pressing gently on my back The warmth of his hand Made me feel I would never have to be alone. I can still see us now. With the world ahead of us And a lifetime to choose Which colour carpets Would fit each room And yet, somehow Life was the song, A nursery A baby A college dorm A library A nursing home A mortuary But oh, how we danced, To this.

David and Hannah put the polish on a song of beauty and sadness. The timing, the commencement of Lockdown, and the stark simplicity of the subjects made the lyrics so very meaningful. The Gallery and its devising were masterful & I would never have guessed a model in the back garden was responsible. Added to and elevated a song which speaks to anybody who loves forget-me-nots (I hoped they survived the cooking process). Many thanks & congratulations to everyone involved, excellent work in challenging times. I can't wait to see what you can do when normalcy returns 🙌.

Been having a Fish day! Bit of Fish with Marllion and solo albums. It’s fair to say I’m the biggest Big Country fan, who historically had a big link up with Fish and his solo work. I can honestly say no other artists( albums and live work) who I’ve seen loads live have had the ability to make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up whilst listening. Where have all the proper bands and artists gone?!?!?! I don’t care tho because nothing will compare. Fish you are a gifted lyricist and poet....

So many more little "rabbit holes" open up upon watching the making of, like where did that middle picture at the end of the galley go? & why can't I connect the choir boy image??? Why hadn't I noticed the change over to Daisy's face on the Lavender cover or the drummer boy the first 10 ten times I watched? etc. I also noticed some more musical motifs from previous works that I hadn't before.
