Yes I think you can take your own stuff including rod and reel. I’d check them off shore bouys on this website. www.ndbc.noaa.gov/station_page.php?station=42020

Did you use your own rods, or there’s? If they were theres, where you able to feel the bite or did you have to keep your eye on the top of the rod?

I used theirs. It was tricky to feel the bite on those old rods with super thick mono.
