I always get bit 4-6 feet out from the base of the tree. The big girls like to nestle into the knees that grow up around the base of the tree.😊

One of my favorite places to fish. Try throwing a crankbait around the outer cypress trees next time and a frog shallow you wont regret it! Also 2 years ago someone in my club caught a 13 there! Insane

Sorry for your deficit, but the tides can turn in one good tournament and I would love to have a 16+lb bag 😜 Chowan is huge and you guys found good areas.

The school girl giggling laugh was funny. Ngl I would do the same thing catching a 6 pounder during a tournament.

The only question you should ask yourself at the end of the tournament season is, “Did I have this many dollars worth of fun?” If the answer is, “yes”, then you broke even.

How did you like the Chowan River fishing? Nothing like bass fishing a lake.

We really need to get a handle on this tournament fishing because it’s killing our lakes. To much pressure and not enough water. Plus the poor bass riding around in a bucket is not good for the fish. Every tournament I have seen there’s dead fish at the release point. It’s usually a couple 3 or 4 pounders😢
