You’ll want to handle them as well as you can. When releasing them hold them in the water until they swim off. Quick release as well. Don’t grab the gills

Not to mention most of the time if they touch the land they die. You also have to be sure to wet your hands before touching them because dry hands take the slimy coating off of them.

Fish are kind of like fresh sweet corn . I can't agree with you more about fish being cooked up as soon as you catch it. But if I could make a couple recommendations, in your combination of spices like salt, pepper and garlic powder you might also try using lemon pepper and instead of olive oil use salted butter and lots of it, you can never have too much butter. I'm a rather big guy so hopefully the jacket you're giving away is 2x, that's my size.😎 It will make me look as good as you when I'm fishing! Take care, and keep the great fishing videos coming. It is stocked but it also has a creek running into it which means the rainbows will migrate back and forth. I'd be curious to know if there are any other trout species there - cutthroat especially would thrive in a creek like that.
