All the emotions of unhooking! Out of the fish but also out of the tree! Love it

Totally! That less hurt a lot less when my fly came out of that tree.

You really do find the most stunningly beautiful places to ply your craft* Chris. Gorgeous trout too, a few of those browns had a record breaking number of spots. Appreciate your sharing the adventure! *Technically “crafts” (plural). Videography and tenkara. 👍

Thanks as always my friend! It's all about the places fishing brings us, isn't it? Appreciate you watching.

Cool video. You really should get one of those hoodies in a drab earth tone or camo. You’ll spook less fish. That blue color is ok for big rivers, float trips, lakes, offshore, etc. where the sky is what the fish sees behind you. Even better would be a bluish pattern that breaks up your silhouette.

Totally agree! I’ll keep rocking it, however. I use it primarily to stand out in KZbin thumbnails. Gotta play this silly game.

I was just going to add that the blue had better cinematic value.

Hasn’t seemed to hurt much thus far. 😊

Great video. What is your main camera. Footage looks great.

Appreciate it! I use a Canon EOS RP. Nothing special, but filming in 4k with good lenses it works well enough. For lenses I'm using a Canon 16-35 f/4 for the wide stuff and a Canon 70-200 f/4 for a lot of the b-roll.

So do you have to hike 4 times as far to go back for your camera?

Hey man, I'm no fan of math, but that sounds about right.

I’m a new subscriber and new to tenkara, what leader setup do you generally prefer on a day to day basis? I currently have a level 3.5 tenkara line and a bunch of maxima / sighted material in different diameters from euro nymphing but unsure what to use.
@FlickyFlies5 ай бұрын
Welcome! I'm typically using #3.5 level line as well, but straight to fluorocarbon tippet. I carry 3X for my carp rods but more often than not I'm using 5x or 6x. I've messed with using sighted leaders as well (the Orvis one I believe). They are great, but I went back to just keeping it simple and using my level line as my sighter.
