Some beautiful country to fish in, that wind was brutal so well done. The last fish I had that went under a bank like Stephens at the 11 to 14 mark I was on my own and it cost me a rod tip, when he came loose point loaded the rod and the rest is history so well done.

You were dealing with some wind along you the usual long leaders you Kiwis fish, which made for an interesting day. I like fishing in the little creeks better than in the big water. Cold day for June here in Southeastern CT. 54degF. Healing up from Surgery last week I should be good to go in another week or two.

Great little river. I'm guessing this is a late season venue that bigger fish move into to spawn. So clear - great to be able to sight fish big rainbows!

Awesome guys! Looks like a river here in Colorado I fish quite often but your fish are very healthy and larger, we get a lot of fishing pressure from guides and their clients which damages the fishery, I really like your videos keep up the good work dude!

Love Love Love your vids… I’ve been trying to master the Double Davey (sp) knot… getting better and better… at 15.30 you actually show you tying one on the fly… greatly appreciate seeing it live in action… question… it looks like you dip a 4th time on the knot or am I seeing things? If you have the time… am I seeing things?

great vid once again Alex. What do you think of Fish and Game proposing to charge international fishers an extra $4o per day to fish the Mataura and Oreti and setting a limit of 5 days ?
@TrippinOnTrout Жыл бұрын
They will be charging Kiwis a fee as well I believe. If it reduces pressure on the fishery then I don't see it as a bad thing at all
@reece.carter1969 Жыл бұрын
I fished this stream in 2019. Those rainbows are every bit as dirty fighters as they look. Often they bury themselves in those undercut banks. I had more break offs than I did fish caught.

Dude, wish you hadn't put this very special stream on the internet... The last thing this little stream needs is the whole world watching it on KZbin. Its a special place and should be visited only by those that know, and have worked hard for that knowledge.

Exactly my thoughts too Doug. Such a shame.

No one is gonna find it from watching this video dude The only people who will recognise it are people like yourself who have already been there. I work hard to not give anywhere away from these vids and fully believe that I don’t blow any rivers.
