I've fished btw ramps 38 and 55 for 40 yrs. Surf Fishing Mecca = OBX I can't even remember how many fish I've caught at "The Point" [i.e. ramp 44]

Remember sometimes they are right in the wash especially the sea mullet. I love OBX

Looked like a beautiful day on the island. Early spring is one of the best times to be there. No crowds and the fishing can be pretty good too. I’m trying to arrange a trip down soon, maybe I’ll run into you by the lighthouse, I fish there a lot.

I’m two weeks out as of tomorrow. Backing the shrimp bits with bites or gum is our go to. We caught the insane blue run last October on 55. Slinging metal and it barely touching the water before being destroyed.
