Just went up there yesterday after watching this video. Sad to report it’s dang near empty. I was told the flume is blocked. Hopefully next week they’ll unclog it. Fish and game showed up and stocked the lake with 200 lbs of trout though! That was cool to watch.

This video brings a good memory of my family camping nearby Barton flats camping ground. Around 2003 and 2004 this lakes allowed people to swim in a certain area. Water was so cold. It took a while to immerse a whole body to the water. My kid was catching some trout when stocking truck release them through huge pump. Good memory. Also we hiked from South Fork trail to the junction of dry and dollar lake.

Great memories for me too. I used to fish Jenks in the 70s & 80s. It has really changed. Back then, no paved lot, no fees. I wish they would remove the dead trees, to make room for new greenery. Nice video. Glad it can still be enjoyed.

@@HuckOutdoors The last time I fished there was in the mid 80s. I had to haul-up a big truck full of stuff needed at an old YMCA Camp. Back then, it was free and you could just walk to the lake and fish. We delivered and then hiked down to Jenks, caught a few Rainbows, toted them back up to the camp and used the large industrial stove and ate them. Awesome time, even for 1 night and 2 days.

Thank you for doing this video. I took my son this morning and we caught 5 bass (he caught one that was a really nice size). Do they stock bass here along with the trout plants? I thought we only had trout in our mountain lakes. Also, do you happen to know if they are stocking the Santa Ana river? I've really been studying your videos to help my son and me catch fish. Thank you again for making these videos and adding so many helpful hints along the way.

They don't stock bass there, but someone planted them there years ago and they naturally reproduce there, unlike the sterile trout
