Do you need fishing permit for non resident ?
@rebornspirit10472 жыл бұрын
all species of snook need to be 28 - 32 and must have a permit. that was a nice little fat snook you got tho

@@rebornspirit1047 maybe regulations are different for West Coast and panhandle because the video I just watched few days ago said otherwise but let me fact check myself.

I’m heading to cape canaveral on April 10th this year, any good chances of hooking into a snook? I’ve been trying for 5 years now with one jumping off 2 years ago being my only action, any tips on bait or location?
@hookandcookreellife Жыл бұрын
Eric there is a bait shop on MULLET ROAD ... and I believe one is also in Jetty Park... if U hav a castnet u should b able to get some mullet, croaker, spot, silver bait on low tide ... all the snook I Caught over there were on live shrimp ... if U looking fir some good snook action u should definitely go to Sébastien Inlet...

@@hookandcookreellife think I’d be able to get into a few if I went for 2-3 hours right at sunrise ? It is a family trip and they get irritable if I’m not back around 10 , id fish from probably 6am to 9am

Are you able to fish at night at that location 🤔
@hookandcookreellife2 жыл бұрын
Jonathan I never fished it at night but I believe they close the gates at sundown and u hav to get a camping pass if u r staying overnight... but am sure there are big fish there at night ... especially since lots of bait fish seek refuge along that stretch of water ...
@joshuaortiz80912 жыл бұрын

Oh man .. whenever I go there I always hav live bait ... the snapper & snook luv the live shrimp..and the tarpon like smaller bait fish like mullet, pin fish or croaker...

Hey man just a piece of advice I understand that once you caught the fat snook your other rod went off but it is just unacceptable to leave that fish on the ground for that long tbh that fish is probably dead now. Another problem is that you let the snook scrape its body on the pavement do not do that keep the snook off of the pavement and use your hands and don’t hold the fish up with your line just hold the fish by the mouth. I do understand that you are maybe not the most experienced fishermen out there but there are certain rules to fishing and this is just sad to watch as I am a local. This comment is to make u learn from your mistakes

You're obviously a good fisherman, but....you should've released that baby snook immediately back into the water. That was so uncalled for.
