Hey I don't know if this is a wierd questions or not lol. When you were fighting the fish on the mountain and you were straight sticking it I noticed you wernt using the rod and only really the line. Doesn't that put more tension on the line and increasing the chances of the like parting because there's no support from the rod? I was always told to have abit of bend in my rod to make shure the line wouldn't snap and I see alot of people doing it how you were so just want to know if it makes a huge difference or not

Hi Josh, depending on your reel and its drag system you can do it or not, with a good drag, larger slower moving fish and 0,55mm monofilament it is not a problem. The advise you were given is right.
