Taro...loved the live chat last night bro! Your vids honestly are always so scuffed and my kinda style! I act like I'm a bad ass fish monger....but i really just try using random shit till i catch 😆 I fly fish and spin, and like tying my own baits. I tend to cross the two over and have tied some pretty sick articulating streamers on jig heads....one that my sone caught a 32" rainbow on!😁🎣 I had a question about pike. I have never really targeted them since i live in west central Montana near the head waters of the Missouri river.....but in recent years some hog pike have been caught in canyon ferry lake right by me. Where would be some good area's to target them in the spring and what kind of baits would you throw at them? Much love OG

Fish shallow. 2 to 10 ft. Edge of weed beds. Shallow bays. Shallow divers. Spoons. Spinners. Almost anything really. I've even used bobbers with a smelt underneath them for lazy man style

@@jeffprosak2511 thanks bro. Caught my first real tanker small mouth last year here in montana on the Missouri river by dumb luck. Caught one goldeye all day on my pickerel rig while i was going through my tackle box trying everything. @TaroMurata2 жыл бұрын
Shallow flat dark bottom bays with a feeder creek running in is a good place to start. The sun warms up water fastest in these spots. Pike love to bask and lay in that warmer muck in early spring. Suspending jerk baits, streamer flies, spoons, glidebaits, sudornfingvrsttlin spot, twitching soft plastic jerkbaits or pink senkos are all good ideas.
