Thank you C Price! It seemed like an appropriate thing to cover while I was out bowfishing. I dialed back my bow to 40lb, used a different arrow and tip and I've been punching through fish without any issues so far. Thanks for the previous advice 👌

Hey I have a 1436 John boat with a predator 212 and I am governing out with prop I have and it’s hard to handle meaning I can’t keep prop in the water do I need to go up in size?

Watch this video to make sure you covered all the bases - kzbin.info/www/bejne/fHKkaJ1mmbulgrc - after that then you can play with the prop. I haven't heard of a 212 governing out on a 1436 jon boat. Another to think about is that if you are using the max RPM setting on your tachometer, the engine will govern out when the prop jumps out of the water and thats what the govern is actually for so you're engine doesn't over rev and blow up. If you can keep the prop in the water and your are constantly at 3800-3900 RPM's then it would be time to go up to bigger prop. If its still hard to handle, you would want to keep the props diameter and move up in pitch so you would need a hurricane prop. If you increase the diameter it will become even harder to handle.

I am. Right now I have the Backwater kit on the 1436. After giving it a few more weeks, I'll be taking it off and putting on the swamp runner to test a few things

@@JTgatoring Righton man. I love the channel. I have a 1436 with a swamp runner very similar to your setup. Definitely kept me from doing some clumsy mistakes!
