i expect big variety in fishes with at least 50+ different species. People will want to chill but since there is no afk fishing, it will be more like a sport than a "time killer activity" so maybe some kind of leaderboard per realm to show the current records, also could be a fun idea.

I can tell you steven has said no afk fishing so you're safe there. and with multiple biomes and 3 types of fishing the types of fish should be abundant. I plan to fish myself on the open seas as if I can live it will be very lucrative. Thanks for the comment, and welcome to the channel.

I really hope the fishing in ashes is deep and complex like Mortal Online 2. MO2 has the best fishing in any game I've seen, and I've done some searching.

I did play MO 2 for a bit, but fishing was not one of the things I dabbled in, personally I was a big fan of Archeage fishing as was Steven. I have a feeling that will be the direction it goes. Welcome and thank you for the comment!
