It may sound silly but I admire that you never fail boiling rice, I always fail. I have problem with the amount of water, always to much or to little. In my country (Sweden) we eat mostly potato's, much easier to boil, cover potato boil until soft! 🙂

I bought the same pot, burner, and heat deflector so I can pretend to be NORA at home :) My rice cooking skills are getting better, just need to get better at catching fish!

You can try to measure how much water you add with your nails, put the rice in the pot and add water to the upper edge of your nails😃

Try to measure it...1 rice to 1 1/2 water...and adjust the amount of water next cooking

I use the "Big spoon" method. 1 1/2 cup water, 1 cup rice, bring to boil, down to simmer, cover and stand there watching. If ANYONE tries to lift the lid before 2 minutes goes by, you WHACK them with the spoon...

Hey don't get me wrong here, enjoy this content, the fishing and setting up camp to see the gear and all, only fault I see is cooking and eating like every 5 to 10 mins in the show, but that's really not the thing, I as many other ppl have this thing where certain noises really get under the skin, and I find myself missing alot of the show from fast forwarding past eating time, the noise is the slurping, I understand hot coffee or tea, but rice and bites of fish, it's not a spaghetti, just put the bite in your mouth. But don't take offence, it's your show, I'll always watch it, just speaking my mind cause I'm sure most aren't. Suggestion, just try to focus more on the fishing and setting up camp to show your gear, as one other guy said, have a show where you talk about the gear you use and how to set up stuff. Most ppl know how to cook and eat. Like I said don't take offence, I'll always be in here to support you by watching ads and sharing your content.

You do know he's Japanese right? It's a cultural thing so commenting on slurping etc. is a bit strange. I actually think that the eating part is relaxing/fun to see, and the slurping is super funny for me as a Western Europe guy as it is indeed not done over here. Combined with the strange translations like bukake etc. it just adds a funny layer to the interesting content.
