FISHING FOR BIG PERMITS AT FLORIDA KEYS BRIDGE WITH LIVE CRABS !

Most of you guys know i love permit fishing this is my favorite fish to target from land, I normally catch decent size permits on the Florida keys bridge, 15lbs to 25lbs are the normal numbers but once in a while we catch this big boys, as you guys saw on the video they fight so hard for that reason i love fishing for them.

Get a bridge gaff, it's easier to use. It looks like a giant treble hook, tie like 30 ft of rope. Use a carabiner to clip the rope to the mono, when you let it go it falls straight down to the fish. All you have to do is pull until it catches. I only do this when I know the fish is well within regulations. Otherwise use the pier net. Personally, I don't bother bringing sharks or rays up.

Bad at casting"! Maybe because there are trolling reels and not casting reels.. 🤔😜 I do the same.. Not shame on that. Man, 1 out every 3 times, more or less the rod goes to the floor when taking the line out! I cringe every time.. I do care.. especially for the guide's rings!
