Hi David, great vid you'de do well to produce here in these conditions. So many inherent limitations fishing the surf, making it work is sort of an art. Kudos and tight lines.

I had a problem today at the pier my shrimp kept getting eaten and being getting left with the shell on the hook live bait. Was that crab eating my bait??? On my high and low rig shrimp was fine

Had my live bait on a carolina rig. .. but I noticed that I did needed crabs for them to hit.. they kept going to the top to feed off of seaweed. I caught one off of frozen shrimp. And you where right drag went crazy. I'm more of a freshwater guy. But today was a good experience In the ocean . I'm still learning off of KZbin.

I have my big 12’ surf rods that I use when it’s rough. When things calm down I switch back to conventional

Yes - when it’s calm we fish right on the sand bar. When it’s rough though we have to get baits past the breakers to have a chance
