Now that I saw the hole thing I can comment that of all the fishing rigs its my opinion that the drop shot is one of the most underrated rigs in bank fishing, great to see you showing that old low cost techniques are still very productive.

I seem to never get tired of catching or even watching someone catch bluegill.. We might go fishing this weekend since Nephew wants to expand and try for different fish. Love he's finally branching out to other species but those bluegill will always be there for us! I have some gulp minnows still too.. might try them out since we can't find live minnows in our area anymore since the local bait shop closed.. Feel I need to try the gulp minnows more. I've caught fish on them but never tried them enough. Also can't go wrong with red wigglers and night crawlers. at least we can still get those locally! Nephew really wants to catch a catfish but with those you need to wait.. maybe let him use my ultra light for bluegills while we wait on a catfish bite.

Caught a nice 12.5 "crappie yesterday along with 5 small bass . Biggest lgmouth being 14". Overall it was a good day nearly 70 degrees. Unfortunately it dropped into the 30s this morning and snow is on the way but I couldn't pass up great weather to fish . Keep it realistic Alex

Is bluegill edible? New to fishing
@RealisticFishing23 күн бұрын
yes!
@scottlinker1886Ай бұрын
The 5 and 6 inch bluegills definitely beat the fish i "caught" on my last fishing trip. I managed to catch (more of snag) a single 2 inch bluegill. Multiple more that size kept hitting on my lure, but they managed to not get snagged since the lure was too large to fit in their mouths.
@fisharmorАй бұрын
A body of water is going to support a maximum mass of fish. If all you're catching is 5-6" bluegill then the best thing you can do is eat what you catch. That makes resources available for some of them to get bigger.
