Great kick off to the Tarpon season. She was a beauty. I really love catching them but I've only caught 2 in my life. So exciting.

I thought that Tarpon was going to keep running but then it turned around. Great fight and great catch. When you put the gloves on is that to protect your hands from the leader and the hook or is there a sharp part of the Tarpon's mouth or gills that you have to watch out for?
@TheNorthFloridaAngler4 ай бұрын
They have a very rough mouth and they have a real sharp spot at the top end of their gill plate! This is the spot that cuts your line most of the time when they jump!

@@TheNorthFloridaAngler If i ever catch one I will be careful of that gill plate. Thanks.
