When you're tangled up in the docks like that you can't tell if it's the fish or the snag. I used to fish big cats in South Carolina and they do the same thing. Hook them and they run in the nearest snag.

Yes I caught my first jack off the pier in my city and it was probably around 5 pounds, I was very surprised about how hard it fought for being so small.

Josh they were some mighty fine jacks. That last one you caught was a monster, and the coloring was supreme. You couldn't have asked for a better day fishing for giant jacks. I'm living in Pa now and the fishing here is nowhere near as exciting as down home. I really miss fishing from Jupiter Inlet, Palm Beach Inlet and all the other places I used to fish. Seeing your videos makes me think of just how good it would be being able to pack up and go fishing all day. Thanks for posting such great fishing videos.

The first ever nice sized saltwater fish was about a 35 pound Jack. That thing was insane to reel in considering me coming off of 2-4 lb bass haha

Here in Australia, we call jacks golden trevally. And we have mangrove jacks, like a mangrove snapper, but they taste great and they fight waaaayyyyyy harder than jack crevale

I live off Lake St. Clair & spend most my time bass fishing but i used to vaca to southern Florida 1-2 times a year for family & I remember the first time i hooked a jack. Ive never fought anything like it before & i was probably 14 at the time. 30lb jack pulled me all over the sandbar we were on. Awesome fish man & would love to bring in another.

FaZe Carrickboi ! Well when fishing out in the ocean half a pound is nothing. I highly recommend fishing in the ocean it's so fun. I enjoy it much more than lake fishing. Even fishing from piers is fun you can some pretty good and interesting fish that doesn't taste too bad.

it's the internal rear teeth at the back of their throats that they grind together. All Jacks/Trevally species do it...when they are threathened for communication to eachother.

Brian Bales I have fished for both. Plugging for a 30 lbs jack on a reef is the same exact fishing as popping for GT. Only difference is location.
