I remember fishing this bridge as a kid. So many good memories on this lake. I live in central VA, and my grandad passed away last year, but my step grandma still has a house on the water. I am planning on taking some time off work and bringing my jon boat down with me. Hopefully I can get a gas outboard motor before then so I'm not just working with a 70 hp trolling motor haha. I get closer and closer to convincing myself to buy a bass boat.

Question, would mind sharing the date that you were actually on the water during the intro to your videos? I understand that you film, edit then upload the video so it could potentially be days or weeks after you actually were fishing. The reason that I ask is because my brother and I fish Gaston all the time. I watch your videos not only for the enjoyment, advice and techinques but in your case because you fish the same areas we do knowing when you were there will also help us in determining what might or might not be a good lure choice when we are out.

@@mickybullard2867 im over an hour from there. I try to fish different bodies of water all the time because it makes you a more versatile angler. I still love the rivers but I fished them so much when I was younger that I like to go different places now. With that being said you need to concentrate on offshore trees

I keep losing Bigguns on a zman snakehead swimjig that has been my #1 confidence bait but I keep losing the big ones before they get to the boat . Any suggestions or tips are appreciated . Love your channel!

Funny, the first fish I caught on Gaston was during a tournament and it was a 1.89 Spotty! Good stuff Gunn!

I usually use the NC public boat launch in Henrico or the Pea Hill boat ramp. Another nice one is Summit boat ramp

They were illegally introduced into this lake by an individual. I keep less than 20 a year. I'm not hurting a thing but these spots have definitely hurt this lake

@@GunnFishTVI agree with you one hundred percent on the spots. Don’t hurt a thing keeping a few my son says that they taste good he keeps a few spots here and there but always releases the large mouth. Keep doing your thing love the videos 👍

I won a very nice set of tiposi sunglasses on gun fish Tv give away and I just received them and I think there going to be my new boat sunglasses on my boat for now on I do have some very nice sunglasses of my own but. I must admit theses are just as nice as my old ones if not better can’t wait to try them out on my boat once I get it back from Cabelas.

I dont think the spots have hurt the lake at all i still catch good large mouths and have fun filling the fryer with spots
