We got on a few fish early but it wasn't the winning pattern so we headed out to the main lake to see what we could find. Interesting you use a round-bend offset hook for your creature bait over an EWG. Any certain reason why?

I find that my hookup ratio is better with an offset hook. The particular one I use is Owner offset wide gap and it has a larger gap than a normal offset does.
