Any comments relating to location will be removed... We fish a lot of different ledges and want to keep peace with all locals when we spin their area. We will say that location is important, but as long as the spot is out past where waves are breaking you're in with a good chance. Tuna come very close to shore!

+William Lawson Lindsey That's what it's all about for us! We're desperately trying to bring balance to a very one sided fight that the ocean is currently losing! Getting everyone on board with C&R is the goal but it's not going to be easy... We just got back from a trip to a Island that had boats circling it a lot of the time, killing every single fish they caught! We talked to a local from the main land and he said there is zero fisheries presence in the area and people are going well past the bag limits daily. Basically they're doing what every they want and unfortunately they want to kill every thing in sight! Haha it's heavy. Anyway, hopefully we can influence a few people with our films and bring a bit of balance to the dark side of fishing in Australia and around the world. Thanks for the comment mate!

There is an old adage that applies here; "For those who understand, no explanation is necessary. For those who don't, no explanation is possible. I have put guys on fish, where after the joy of the strike has faded after the first few minutes, I see the fog of their bewilderment in their eyes, as they desperately try to reason, if they have the fish, or does the fish have them? For those that are born with fishing in their blood, there is only one honest answer. From your first "Hook-Up," it was always you that was hooked, and it was you that was forever caught, with no hope of release... Thank You, "Morning Tide Fishing," for posting this "Fix," for me. Please Be Well, Stay Strong, and "Tight Lines," Will

MorningTide Fishing Thank You, you graciously kind. I try to show with fidelity, what is really in my heart. My heart might not know all the facts, but it knows my values, and what I hold as my truths. I am just the son, of a son, of a fisherman. I am Nora’s, and Tony's baby boy. I am Will, the last of my line. God loves his fishermen, and shepherds, for their patience in the madness of those vacuous hours when it is only you, God, and all you can think about. Many times illusion, and or delusion, will mercifully substitute for hope, when real hope can no longer be found. Because of our humanity, our greatest hope is for tomorrow. Tomorrow is where Hope is forever young, strong, and is always magnificent in its power to seduce dreamers, and the wretched alike. My greatest Hope is not catching that all time record fish, but in view of how decimated the numbers of pelagic species are, that I’ll be able to release her alive, and unharmed. Please Stay Strong, and Keep real Hope Alive, Will

RIDETHESUNSHINE There has been some negativity surrounding how we fish... About how we are risking our lives etc. They don't realise how much we care about the fish. We're doing what ever is possible to keep them healthy so they live after the ordeal. We eat fish of course but only when one is too weak or injured to swim away. It happened a few times in the beginning where we were not sure if the fish would live, in those cases we'd jump in and swim the fish for a while to see if it would kick off. In the trailer you'll see us jumping in to try and free a fish thats swam the line into reef (because we want to land the fish but we also don't want a fish swimming away with 20m+ of line attached to it) The fishermen who are saying we're idiots are prolly the same guys who keep every fish they can lay there hands on and have little to no respect for the environment. We've seen some heavy stuff over the years and always stand up against mistreatment of fish. But as far as bag limits are concerned you can't say much to a guy with 15 tailor because he's still 5 under the limit o.O ! There are some very outdated regulations that need changing BIG TIME!

MorningTide Fishing What becomes very clear is, never give anyone or anything the power to push you off balance. They/it, is powerless without your reaction. “Wise men speak because they have something to say; Fools because they have to say something.”- Plato Haters have to hate and the ignorant refuse the possibilities of greater thoughts. Forgive your detractors, they obviously don’t know better, and clearly don’t understand your bigger picture. It is everybody’s option to disagree, however they don’t have to be disagreeable. Don’t waste your time on those that are so committed to oppose you. Remember, you’re not the jerk whisperer. As for your conservation efforts, remember this in your struggle. "Never, never be afraid, to do what's right, especially if the well-being of a person or animal is at stake. Society's punishments are small compared to the wounds we inflict on our soul when we look the other way." Martin Luther King Jr. Bless all which take up the fight, for those that can't fight for themselves. Know in your heart, you are on the side of a greater justice...Truth, Joy, and Misery, reads the same, in all tongues, and across all times. One of the greatest truths of conservation is; “We don’t inherit this world from our parents, we borrow it from our children, and their children.” The best times to plant a tree is 20 years ago. The next best time to plant a tree is today. You mind is clear, and sharp, your heart has the right message, you are still young, and strong, your fight for this cause is in your favor, if you chose to commit to it. "The essential conditions of everything you do must be choice, love, and passion." Nadia Boulanger The wages of living in this construct could not be measured in any currency, but tallied by a meaningful life, that was worth living.... My friend let me offer my most heartfelt apologies, for getting so long winded. But it appears we have come full circle. "For those who understand, no explanation is necessary. For those who don't, no explanation is possible”. Please Be Well, Stay Strong, and Know, You are fighting The Good Fight, GO YOU!!! Will

Kieran Wasmann I can't reply to your comment? But yeap a catch and release marlin off the rocks would be mind blowing (I havn't seen a land based marlin on lure? You might be right about that). We really want to get a yellow fin, a wahoo, a solid GT and of course bigger versions of what we've already landed haha. Cavy is very keen on a dolphin fish off the stones. We donno what is and isn't possible at this stage but the more we fish the more we realise that we will prolly end up at least connecting with most of our dream fish!

@MorningTideFishing
@MorningTideFishing 10 жыл бұрын
Kieran Wasmann Yeah we get both, but kingies are far more common and the samsons are only tiny (The ones we've come across). Our best kings are under 10kg so a big fella's definitely on the list. We're pretty keen to try for some over in NZ. Where abouts are you from?

When we first started we would keep most the fish we caught. Over time we found it harder and harder to kill them, they are the most crucial part of what we love doing and it's very strange to kill that thing when it is so important to you. So now we release everything that is healthy enough to swim off. If they aren't looking good we swim with them and see if they will kick off, if not we take them home and feed our families. It's almost like you feel you have cheated the unmoral aspect of fishing if you always try to release and only keep what can't swim away. Stoked you like the trailer!!!

You guys ever look into using Van Staal or ZeeBaas reels? Seems like you'd definitely benefit from a sealed reel. That's what we use out here in Montauk surfcasting in the northeast U.S. for swimming out to boulders and deep wading in the surf. Our reels get dunked like crazy

Jeffrey Lomonaco Yeah thanks, we are aware of these reels and would be super keen to try out a ZeeBaas! But they are out of our price range at the moment haha

Hey mate, we're going to finish off this season spinning real hard and by the end of the year we'll have either a full length film or a series of shorter episodes out. If we get time we'll release more teasers along the way! Stoaked you like it bro!
