Sight casting with live herring, it was an effective technique for the Spotted mackeral tho more so than the tuna. Hope to do lots more live baiting this year!

You should let your lure sink a little and slow down the retrieve. Might get a better outcome.

Thanks mate! Can't wait to get out chasing trout around the islands aswell! We caught the herring with a cast net at the boat ramp in the harbour. At times they school very close by the pontoon, but not always there

Hey Mate, this was filmed about the beginning of November last year. I have found spring time to be the best for Spotties but you will still catch them in January
