I normally don't recommend switch rods for big rivers, but when conditions are high and dirty, there are good reasons for using one. Check it out.

Peter thanks for the video! I am learning so much watching your content! Have you ever tried to use a boobie fly for steelhead? I've been thinking about this. "Wimpy Walleye" - love it! LOL!

No, I've never used a boobie fly for anything, in fact I've never tied one. Something to think about. On the next trip I caught another walleye about half the size with twice the fight.
