Thanks Robert, I didn't say on the video but it was a first cast fish as well. I have to say very lucky to catch given the sea conditions. All the best to you for 2025.

Thanks Ronnie, I had a few issues with the camera protesting about the cold on this video but fortunately managed to video the fish. As I mentioned on the video, I'm sure it's going to be another great year. All the best. Phil.

Hi Mick, I saw you'd also had a cracking flounder on your channel. I'm targeting Turbot and Brill this year which I know can be caught from the beaches here in North East Scotland. Phil

Hi Lenny, that was good to spot us from the helicopter. It was quite busy with flights to and from Dyce during the day. I'll bet you’re glad to be ashore again for a while. All the best for 2025. Phil.

It was a lot worse than we expected. But, you work with what you have got, at least there wasn't a lot of weed to contend with. Enjoyable session all the same. Tight lines for 2025 Darren.

Thanks James. We do try to keep the seat boxes well back but sometimes a 'big un' rips in. After the camera bag got wet on the Hackley Bay video I've bought a waterproof box for the camera gear.

CHEERS to PHIL and GORDON FROM CANADIAN WESTCOAST! ENJOYING the VIDS!!! P.S. Should you desire to keep some flounder for the table, how many are you allowed???
@anotherangleUK
@anotherangleUK 17 күн бұрын
Hi, here in the UK there is a minimum size for flounder but no limit on number you can take. I only take the occasional good sized fish for the table. Are there restrictions over in Western Canada?

Great video again .question why grip weight some flounder fisherman like to let the hooks and bait wander about sea bed any keep it up .davy from Queensferry
@anotherangleUK
@anotherangleUK 17 күн бұрын
Hi Davy, I use a clock weight or a barrel when conditions permit. It's actually the best way to let the rig move and search out the fish. But, when the sea is rough the grip lead prevents the rig from getting tangled. It was a bit like a washing machine and the 5oz weights only just held bottom. Phil.

What would say is your favourite type of fishing and type of fish. do like catching the best
@anotherangleUK
@anotherangleUK 17 күн бұрын
That's a very hard question to answer. The clever answer would be fishing with friends but that's probably not getting to your question. I really like float fishing as there is something rather special waiting for the float to bob under. Trotting the float down the river wye for Barbel is special. But, all fishing brings me great pleasure, every fish is welcome whatever size. Hope that answers your question. How about you, what's your favourite?
