Dude that big hit that broke your rod holder was probably a Tarpon. They were busting on bait in that same spot you had you line in on an incoming tide when me and "St. Augustine Sandman" were in the Mako there last week. They were blowing up on the other side too. I had a big Tarpon almost take my combo one time at Reddie Point. Your lucky Nick saw it caught that combo, it was almost a goner 😆💥🎣

I've seen guys flounder gigging a long that beach at night all the way to driftwood on Talbot's Island. I've caught many puffers close to the bridge and puppy black drum, along there, haven't fished there in a couple years
