The new minkota ultrex is a preaty good trolling motor and the graphs any of the big hummingbird and also i recamend a battery saver pack attachment

We use Minn Kota. Depends how much you want to spend too. They even make gps ones that will keep you in a spot without you have to. It spins the trolling motor and holds your position.

Lake lanier on the gainsville marina, a guy that was fishing ten feet away from me caught a nine pound bass and a ten pound catfish both on the speed worm, white softplastic anything weightless is tge move also shad jerkbaits and chrome ratl traps work!!!! My favorite things to throw are white walking-shad topwater lures and white/ silver buzzbaits and a red ant colored booyah pond magic

I feel the same way now that I have my kayak. I have the old town sportsman powered by Mk. Got off work this morning from a 4 day run and was ready to sleep the day away. It was gone start raining at 2pm so I said let me try them. Jus the second time on my kayak and I slayed them. Mainly 1s and 2s but I got 1 5 pounder.(person best) First thing I said was I knew if I could get in this water I would catch them. I been bank fishing for years. I got a jon boat in the works. Deck and floor finished. Got the bow trolling motor jus haven’t mounted yet. Still fixing a few leaks, gotta get a boat trailer, hitch for my truck make a spot for a drain plug and small engine. No rush being I got the kayak but the way I was on them in the kayak today. I know it will be good when I finish my boat. Congratulations on the googan sponsorship and u earned it. And I know u loving the boat can’t wait until I’m finished wit mines and can hit the locate lakes and catch some big ones. Ponds have nice size but I wanna feel the joy of a double digit.

Get an ultrex for sure. Best trolling motor with spot lock for smaller boat as is the most reliable

Ok here's my list for your boat, MinnKota Ultrex Trolling motor with spot lock and Ipilot, Lowrance HD Gps with bluetooth hookup, they also have something similar to Panoptics that is a beautiful monitor. If you choose and alternative trolling system, try the Lowrance Ghost trolling motor in conjunction with you Lowrance monitors and you will have an awesome system. Now here's something that will cost you some dollaro but in the long run it will change your life substantially. Buy three Lithium Batteries, they are at least 2.5 times more expensive than conventional but WOW what a difference you'll have with Battery life and trolling time between charges. Also lightens you boat by more than half the weight of a conventional battery. If you don't have one already also get a Hull Guard and a stainless prop. All this is expensive but each component will DRAMATICALLY change the boat from average to stupendous. congrats, you got yourself a beautiful boat. I prefer tin boats to glass anyway cause they will take a beating and keep running. good luck amigo.

You've got t[ hit Table Rock. It's about 30 miles south of me one of the best bass lakes in the country. However, I'd wait for spring. I'd also try Gunterville but myself, living in the Ozarks, if I had a boat, I would stay close to home because within an hour and a half in any direction, I've got excellent bass fishing.
