we walked through swamps and densed rainforest in search of swamp fish preferably the brown hoplofish.
The brown hoplo fish is one of the most sought after fish in our country for their taste and it is also one of the most expensive fish in our local market.
Hoplo fish is a species of catfish (order Siluriformes) belonging to the Callichthyinae subfamily of the family Callichthyidae. It is known as tamuatá in Brazil, atipa in French Guiana, hassar in Guyana, kwie kwie in Suriname, cascadu(ra) in Trinidad and Tobago, and busco or currito in Venezuela.
